Otto Zwartjes and Astrid Alexander-Bakkerus organize meeting Amsterdam Center for Language and Communication (ACLC)

Next June 11th, Otto Zwartjes and Astrid Alexander-Bakkerus are organizing the VIth International Meeting of the ACLC Research group “Revitalising older linguistic documentation” (ROLD).

Otto Zwartjes will be giving both the welcoming speech and the lecture “El arte de el idioma mexicano de Manuel Pérez (1713)”. Together with several colleagues from abroad, the following UvA-staff will be contributing to the meeting as well: Anna Pytlowany (“The story of VOC linguistics as told by paper, ink, and sand”), Liesbeth Zack (“The description of Egyptian Arabic in Martin Hartmann’s Arabischer Sprachführer für Reisende (1881)”) and Roxana Sarion (“Nominal case marking in the language of Cumaná: a diachronic overview from the 17th century”).
